Our Location - Woodlands Bed and Breakfast, Glenfarg
Glenfarg lies thirty miles north of Edinburgh alongside the M90 motorway. Kinross is ten miles to the south, and Perth ten miles to the north. The Glen itself runs north from the village towards Strathearn and the River Tay.
The village can be reached in thirty minutes from Edinburgh Airport and in just over an hour from Glasgow. By road from the south, exit at Junction 8 on the M90 signed for St Andrews and Glenfarg. Take the second road on the left after leaving the motorway, and the village lies two miles along this road. On entering the village turn left at the Glenfarg Hotel. At the village shop go straight ahead at the cross roads into Church Brae, and then turn immediately right after the second house on the right. Woodlands Bed and Breakfast is at the end of this lane.
From the north, exit at Junction 9 and follow the signs for Glenfarg turning left at the hotel.
Set in two acres of mature forest, Woodlands is located in the centre of the village of Glenfarg just 100 m from the shop and church. We are off Church Brae at the end of the lane below the church. Drive into the gateway at the end of the lane and you will find ample car parking. The River Farg runs alongside Woodlands. Herons are often seen fishing here and ducks raise their young in the spring. The forest provides shelter for deer and pheasant and the resident red squirrels can often be spotted from the house.
